Mr Carter is a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He is the Lead for Clinical Governance and Research for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has expertise in surgical treatment for disorders of the teeth, mouth and jaws including surgical removal of wisdom teeth, surgical removal of buried or impacted teeth,  pre-prosthetic/implant surgery and management of abnormalities of the soft tissues of the mouth, lips and skin of the face.

He has a special interest in facial deformity and trauma surgery including distraction osteogenesis and in craniofacial surgery.


Craniofacial deformity and surgery, infections of the teeth and jaws, oral cancer awareness, and facial trauma.
